Last year, YouTube user envanligfjant uploaded a video showing how similar Sam Smith’s hit single “Stay With Me” was to Tom Petty’s original “I Won’t Back Down”. Just earlier this week, Sam Smith caved to pressure, and agreed to pay Tom Petty royalties from his song.
Now that the news is out and Sam Smith has admitted the truth, everyone is finally taking notice of envanligfjant’s original video. He was totally right all along!
