Homeless old woman sells her artworks at P15 each in the streets of Manila for her survival

“I dream my painting and I paint my dream.” ― Vincent van Gogh
This inspirational photo of an old woman selling her drawings went viral as soon as it was posted on Facebook by user Judy Ann Samorin. According to Judy, it was on June 15, 2015 at around 5pm that she saw this woman along G. Puyat Avenue. The homeless woman immediately caught their attention not because she was asking for money—but she was actually selling her artworks at P15 each.

Instead of asking for food or money, she puts her talent to work—making several drawings with a few pieces of paper and a box of oil pastels. Despite her status in life, she did not give up doing what she loves to do—draw. She did not see poverty as a hindrance to her imagination, instead used her talent to literally live.
Netizens were inspired by how the woman showed her love for art, and so many people are looking for her to donate a few art items—and maybe teach her a thing or two.
